This policy describes how the JustWatch Add to Seerr Chrome extension handles information.
The title is sent to the Seerr server you chose only when you explicitly open the search. That server is operated according to its administrator’s configuration and policies. The extension developer does not receive the title, page URL, or your saved Seerr URL.
The extension does not use analytics or advertising, and does not send telemetry to the developer. It has no developer-operated backend or remote code. It does not ask for or use Seerr credentials or API keys.
You may configure an HTTP or HTTPS Seerr address. HTTPS encrypts the connection. With HTTP, the search URL—including the title—travels unencrypted and may be visible to systems or people able to observe your network traffic. The extension warns about HTTP; use it only on a network you trust. HTTPS is recommended.
Your Seerr URL and on-page-button preference remain in Chrome’s extension-local storage until you change or clear the extension’s data, or remove the extension. The page title and URL are used transiently to provide the feature and are not saved in extension storage. You can turn off the on-page button in the extension’s settings.
The extension uses page information only to provide its disclosed purpose: opening a JustWatch title in the Seerr server you configure. It does not sell this information, use it for advertising or unrelated purposes, or make it available to the developer. The title is transferred only to the Seerr server you selected and only after you choose to open the search. Our use of information handled by the extension complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
JustWatch and your configured Seerr server are separate services. Your browser connects to JustWatch when you visit its site, independently of this extension. The extension itself does not send your page information to JustWatch or the extension developer. This extension is not affiliated with or endorsed by JustWatch or Seerr. Their own privacy practices apply to information they receive directly.
If the extension’s data practices change, this policy will be updated and the change will be prominently disclosed to users. For privacy questions, contact the developer through the vahnx Projects Discord. Please do not post personal information publicly.
